May 2006
We are launching into a new project for the Olympic Authority beginning with shooting the entire Lake Placid region over the summer and fall to create a new HD movie of the Olympic venues and the surrounding Adirondacks.
We are also creating new corporate ID pakages for two Vermont companies, Northern Financial Group and Retirement Solutions.
And of course, this is the time of year when we begin working on the new winter campaign in all media for Whiteface/Lake Placid.
April 2006
We just finished producing a short movie about us...check it out here.
Time to start thinking seriously about next winter. Yeah, we know that seems strange, but the ski season comes quickly, and we need to prepare the core strategy for Whiteface 2006-07 now. There will be print deadlines by late June.
The weather here has been gorgeous for April - sunny & warm.
We're finishing up a new 3-D stone sample book for Rock of Ages and taking a short break from mountain resort marketing. Early in the month we were up shooting at Whiteface with the new HD camera for the World Cup Snowboard competition. Sweet!
On the farm, Biscuit had her first litter of puppies...very cute.
February 2006
Finally some snow to help with the ski season. Whiteface is doing great in spite of the warm winter so far. They are up over 10% on the year, which is better than any of the competition. On the first, we got up to Lake Placid to shoot Apollo Ono in his final competition before the Olympics with our brand new HD camera. The images are incredible. And boy does he skate fast! We also shot some beautiful images of the village in a light, magical snowfall.
January 2006
It's been so warm, we haven't used the snowshoes at all this season. We just produced a new campaign for Whiteface Lake Placid in both TV and radio to boost sales before and during the upcoming Olympics. We're looking forward to watching all our friends from the "Road To Turino" documentary we produced this past fall compete for Olympic gold.
